My Approach
Our first few sessions will involve an evaluation of your needs. By the end the first few sessions I will be able to offer you some impressions of what our work together will include, and we will develop a plan for your treatment.
Therapy sessions are approximately 45-60 minutes in length; however how often we meet will depend on you as the individual. Therapy is a continuous process and therefore, is most effective when we meet either weekly or bi-weekly. We can decide on the day and time that is most convenient for you.
I offer Individual Therapy only for Adolescents and Adults.
Therapeutic Approaches
I am eclectic in my approach which means that I do not use the same treatment method for each person or for each presenting concern. I draw from a myriad of therapeutic techniques and tailor your treatment to you as an individual. I believe each person is unique and special and therefore one size does not fit all. Some of the theories I draw from are: Client-Centered, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and ACT
